Summer is just around the corner and the warm weather isn’t the only thing to get excited about.  We are pleased to announce that the Vinton Lutheran Home summer Junior Volunteer program will take place again this year.

Beginning on June 15^th, kids from 8-15 years old will devote their time and energy to entertaining our residents.  The program will take place from 2-4pm on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.  The Junior Volunteers will assist our residents with large group activities, such as charades and games, and individual activities like manicures. 

The volunteers will also help with special annual activities such as creating a float for the Party in the Park parade and helping with the Ice Cream Social.  Not only do our residents benefit from this program but the junior volunteers will make many wonderful memories and take with them a sense of pride. 

We are confident that this summer’s Junior Volunteer program will be just as successful as last year’s. This June we will be reminded once again that friendships can be formed and solidified at any age.
