When the weather outside is frightful, nothing is better for the soul than crafts and soup!
At the Davenport Lutheran Home residents enjoyed “Painting with Joyce” this week. Local volunteers spent an afternoon helping the residents create their own painting masterpiece.
At the Vinton and Davenport facilities a winter fundraiser titled “Soup for the soul in a bucket or bowl” has begun. Throughout the winter season, homemade soups will be sold at the Davenport Lutheran Home each Tuesday from 11:00am-2:00pm. Homemade soups will be sold at the Vinton Lutheran Home each Wednesday from 11:0am-2:00pm. Soups may be purchased in a bowl for $4.00 or in a freezable bucket for $16.00. All proceeds will go toward life enhancements for the residents.
