The spiritual lives of our residents have been recognized as one of the most important aspects of living in our Lutheran Home facilities. We have been blessed with a separate designated Chapel to worship. The Chaplain has a very special and unique relationship with each resident.

Our Chaplaincy program is more than a Sunday worship service, the Word of God is heard daily. Our Chaplaincy program is designed to support the spiritual lives of the residents, their families and staff.

The Chaplain offers regular worship services, Bible Study, Prayer and individual visits as well as counseling, family support and memorial services. It is not our intention to replace a resident’s own church or pastoral relationship but to enhance this relationship. The Chaplain respects the individual’s privacy and recognizes their expressions of faith and traditions.

All other clergy are also welcome to serve their members within the Lutheran Home.  We have many residents’ home pastors, priests, etc who visit their members regularly.  One such Pastor is Rev. Dr. Donald D. Loesch who states: “It’s a distinct honor to serve the spiritual needs of Lutheran Home residents……. Simply the recognition of our service as clergy is reward in itself!  Let me also assure you that many congregations represented by your residents benefit more than any of us realize from the personal care you administer to their members in need.  My prayer is that our loving and merciful Father will bless the residents, staff, and families with a sense of His daily presence and the certain hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ…… God continue to bless you all!!
