Summer fun is everywhere at the Lutheran Home Campuses!
This week, the Davenport residents have been exploring their creative sides while working on fun summer crafts!

Summer is officially here, and the Lutheran Home Communities have been blessed with summer volunteers and visitors and from their local communities!
This week the Vinton Lutheran Home has been visited by the Eldorado 4-H group and the Blessed Hope Church’s children. The 4-Hers shared their animal projects with our residents while the Blessed Hope children sang and played bingo with them!

It may not be summer according to the calendar, but summer festivities are in full swing at our Lutheran Home Communities.
Residents at the Davenport Lutheran Home took a ride down the Mississippi River on the Celebration Belle! The weather that day was as beautiful as the boat!
Residents at the Vinton Lutheran Home made patriotic décor to help celebrate flag day, independence day, and labor day this summer! This week the residents made red white and blue sun catchers.

The gardens and courtyards have been in full use at the Lutheran Home Communities! Our residents have been enjoying many fun activities outdoors in this beautiful June weather. The Lutheran Home communities are blessed to have such beautiful grounds for our residents’ enjoyment!!

The weather has been incredible lately, and the residents at the Lutheran Home Communities are taking full advantage of it!
Vinton Lutheran Home residents enjoyed the first picnic of the year at “Celebration Park” along the Cedar River in Vinton.
The gardens are in FULL BLOOM at the Davenport Lutheran Home. Staff and residents have been enjoying the perennials and planting some gorgeous annuals!

With the warm weather underway, residents at the Davenport and Vinton Lutheran Homes have been enjoying spring planting. The growth of the flowers and fresh garden produce is something our residents enjoy all summer long. They were all very excited to begin the growing season this month!
Vinton Lutheran Home residents were excited to plant their gardens this year and blessed to have the help of two 4-H groups and Bethlehem Lutheran Sunday School students.

This week we have been Celebrating National Nursing Home Week. Both Davenport and Vinton have themed days where residents and staff are invited to dress up, eat fun food, and partake in special activities.
At the Davenport Facility, Nursing Home Week was kicked off with a balloon launch. The staff and residents had a blast!!
At the Vinton Facility, a different part of the world is featured each day of the week. So far staff and residents have enjoyed dressing up, eating native food, and partaking in the activities of America, Asia, and Costa Rica!

The Lutheran Home Communities have a very full month of May planned out. Mother’s Day Tea’s will be hosted in honor of Mother’s Day, National Nursing Home Week will be celebrated, gardens will be planted, and our loved ones will be honored for Memorial Day.
This week the Lutheran Home residents are enjoying Mother/Daughter Tea and Mother/Daughter Coffee events. Their daughters or loved ones have been invited to join them for entertainment and refreshments at a special get together in honor of Mother’s Day!
